BIO
Jennifer Brown-Banks is an award-winning
poet, popular feature writer and serves on the Steering Committee of the
Chicago Writers Association. As a performing artist for over a decade, she has read her work in various venues--from packed
coffeehouses to jazz clubs to schools, bookstores and private parties. Her dynamism and ability to relate to audiences of diverse
tastes, accounts for her large following.
Jennifer's poetry has appeared in Poetic Voices, True Poet Magazine, Rolling Out, Being Single Magazine, Chicago Bulletin, Positive Connections,
Gospel Synergy,Rhapsody in Black, and most recently in the anthology In Katrina's Wake, an Anthology of Poetry.
She is founder and president of Poets United to Advance the Arts, based in Illinois, and is listed in Who's Who in
America.
